The following shows the schedule/ fixtures of the preliminary round cricket matches to be played in ICC World Twenty20 2009 tournament. The 12 cricket teams are split into four groups of three teams each. In the preliminary round, each team will play two matches and the top two teams from each group will qualify to the Super Eights stage.
