Indians unable to force a win

It might just be a warm-up tour game played against the county club Sussex. But, the tale is similar to what the Indians are used to. A good first innings total, a collapse in the second innings and a final press towards victory only to be left wondering why they are unable to take the last wicket.
The good thing to draw from this drawn match may be the half-centuries from Karthik, Dravid, Gambhir and Laxman in the first innings. Interestingly, in the second innings, RP Singh coming in at No. 10 scored 41 runs off just 46 balls. This is the highest score by the Indians in the second innings. Not only that, this is RP Singh's highest in first-class cricket.
Indians 388 for 7 declared & 184 for 8 declared DREW with Sussex 300 for 6 declared & 190 for 9.
