Australia amassed 290 runs thanks to a whirlwind 89 from Symonds, after electing to bat. India lost the way early as three wickets fell for the addition of just 13 runs. Yuvraj played a lone brilliant innings of 121 runs. But, others failed to give any support in the big chase. Sachin's 41 and Dhoni's 33 were not sufficient enough.

Result: Australia 290/7 in 50 overs(Hayden 60, Clarke 59, Symonds 89) beat India 243 in 47.4 overs(Yuvraj 121, Brett Lee 3 for 37, Hogg 3 for 46) by 47 runs.

Australia leads the 7-match series 2-0

    Yes. Dhoni's leadership is bringing in some fresh air to the Indian team. Youngsters like Uthappa and Gambhir are forming the next core of Indian team under Dhoni.
