India vs Sri Lanka, ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 - Group B
Date: 23 Mar 2007

Catches : 3 / Stumpings : 0
Batting: 0 runs (1 ball), 4s: 0/ 6s: 0

Sri Lanka won by 69 runs.

After letting Sri Lanka score 254 runs, the Indians did not pose any challenge at any stage in spite of the fact that this is one of the most important matches in their career. Eventually, the Indians were all out for just 185 runs, the skipper Rahul Dravid's 60 runs being the highest. Sehwag played a better innings of 48, but not just enough to have any impact on the result.

The Indians have made a mess of it. Now, they are almost eliminated from the World cup even though theoretically they still have a chance. For the last gate to open, the Bermudans must beat Bangladesh. Possible? Let the Indians pack their bags to fly with the Pakistanis.
