India vs Bangladesh, ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 - Group B
Date: 17 Mar 2007

Catches : 1 / Stumpings : 2
Batting: 0 runs (3 balls), 4s: 0/ 6s: 0

Bangladesh won by 5 wickets (with 9 balls remaining).

A disastrous start for the Indians in the World cup. They started as run-away favourites to win this match, if not the tournament. But, it was poor batting from the Indians that led them down. Ganguly and Yuvraj tried to steady the boat, but once Yuvraj gone the boat came rocking down. From a relatively good position of 157-4, they slumped to 159-9. Five wickets tumbled in the space of 15 deliveries for the addition of just two runs. The score was given some respectability due to the last wicket partnership of 32 runs between Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel.

Can India qualify for the super-eights after this upset? Yes, they can, but they must beat the Sri Lankans now.
