Two centuries, a steady one from Jeyawardane and a swashbuckling unbeaten one from Dhoni, was enough to ensure a whitewash of the Africans in the Afro-Asian cup. The Asians had clinched the ODI series by 3-0 margin and the lone Twenty20 match. Dhoni scored his 3rd century in a match-winning 218-runs partnership with Jeyawardane. The Asians were in a state of bother at 72 for the loss of 5 wickets. Dhoni's previous two centuries came batting at No. 3 position. So, this one should be special as he came in at No. 7.
The Africans did not cave in meekly. They fell just 13 runs short of the Asians score of 331 for 8 wickets.
The man of the match award went to Dhoni, while Jeyawardane clinched the man of the series.
