Encouraging test wins on overseas soil

The Indians had posted another victory in an overseas test match. It is good to see them regularly winning on foreign soil. In the last five years, they had won as much as 13 test matches playing in away series.

Some of the results:
2001/02, West Indies, India lost 1-2
2002, England, Series drawn 1-1
2002/03, New Zealand, India lost 0-2
2003/04, Australia, Series drawn 1-1
2003/04, Pakistan, India won 2-1
2004/05, Bangladesh, India won 2-0
2005/06, Zimbabwe, India won 2-0
2005/06, Pakistan, India lost 0-1
2006, West Indies, India won 1-0
2006/07, South Africa, India lost 1-2
2007, Bangladesh, India won 1-0
2007, England, India leads 1-0

That adds up the summary of the Indians away-performance in the last five years or so. It is encouraging to see test match wins in almost all the series, except the Pakistan series and the dreaded New Zealand series. But, they have to convert these wins into series triumphs. They take the lead only to surrender in the following match. If they can win the series from here, it will be a good achievement. It is not far.
